let them ring!

Post STATION PUB (Nutfield) performance,Chris decides to share what he loves
It is these woods of Surrey-backroads thin and as yet untouched
He spins the van through impossible angles,like an Ark of the Covenant
points out stories of his past which live in these woods yet
Stretches of A25 out of the old Reigate Road-where kids like him would race their cars
pre-speed cameras and waiting police.Motorcycle courier in London,
he learned the Art Of Speed-he could take any road
and get to where was need.He pointed out places that meant the world to him
driving through woods on a clear Sunday night-re-entering his dreams
Lights on the trees showed a world that was true and clear
He knew all the backroads and alternatives to these
I was grateful to see this side of a world i had flashed past
even if the lights of the van could never hold  back the dark
There are spaces we will visit that mean the world to us
To share these is a privilege/to return to art life spark!
