may we all be heard
words are bells
let them ring!

LYMINGE WRITERS GROUP(Lyminge Library ,Kent-Saturday September 25,2011

Libraries are the right space for poets-roomy,airy,casual,kind
So when they gather (with a theme of ANIMALS-
it is always more than you would normally find
One by one, their love of form and harmony
finds sound and sentences, shape and structure
Ears sharply alert,smiles fully engaged-
worlds within words winged their way inside
as sunshine spread across the windows wide
Each uni-verse orbit clicked in conjunction
when each of those present gave the gift of their presence
One will be doing a theme of SACRED AND SECULAR
Another adoring the art of Mary Oliver
It is what you love will save you-
poetry and harmonies,community in libraries-
all adds to the light in that room-
every time they meet/greet
sweet as a smile on the moon!

FOR A LONG TIME LISTENING
until she asked permission
to rise up to the microphone
and allow her own flower voice to bloom
The roomn heard her-silence around her
Quiet normally, she followed the dolphin waves
and stayed with the musicians. She sang of magick and the moment-
how her musician was her lover-how love illuminates
and Light heard every word.Again she rose to lament the loss
of one who left his body (musician)leaving only a body of work
Remembrance part of the ritual. She blessed us all-
Cinderella midnight,as we packed up cords in the van
and carried home her harmonies again..
