WALKING IN THE WOODS

Julia and Chris wished to share their bliss-where they were engaged upon the hills of Dorking
So we drove in the van to a track and walked back to where the view was spectacular
We had seen WW2 pillboxes dotted among the green slopes
still waiting for some invasion of the Euro
We sat down in a concave space/picked blackberries
and wondered which type of mushrooms were most edible
Did i mention that the view was astonishing?North and South Downs split with a plain
wherein trains passed by to Reading and Woking.
We wandered smilingly sharing time and energies
back to the track wherein cars slipped sleekly down through slips
into towns still open and waiting.Goodbye forests of Surrey
Farewell, Dorking and environs.Bye bye woods and Julia and Chris
Thank you for sharing your engaging bliss!
