Strange that one of her readings was @Heritage House-
how few of us knew the full range of her talents
(how modest and humble she was among us-)
when her wit ,erudition and range of languages-
(French ,Swahili,all variants of ebonics,English)
could not keep us from recognizing this diamond in our midst
She was quite personal in every aspect of this
When hundreds gathered for her farewell
he eulogies combined started to reveal
how much she gave to each individual-
how every one was treasured uniquely.
This facility for nurturing/acknowledging
was seen and acted upon in her lifetime
yet only when she has gone do we finally see
her gifts for students,friends,family-
how each have been prepared for this-
to give of themselves via her experience
With her wit and wisdom ,we can grow
knowing that her smiling glow
remains within so many of us
who now must made do
without Dr Marvin Kimbrough.
