and focus upon healing our broken social infrastructures and torn cities
Deal with the frequent hurricanes,potholed roads ,
inadequate health services,poor education
rather than militarily invading anyone we designate"terrorist"
Yet when aid workers are slaughtered and civilians bombed
Somalia devolves into criminal clans,and pirates invade our ships
perhaps a different model is required.Results are everything-
China trades with terror regimes and claims Tibet
We trade with her despite Tiennamen Square
When innocent Bahai are imprisoned in Iran
we have neither bargaining power nor military strength
Little Libya laughs at us after Lockerbie
and Big China will not cease her sweatshops nor slave labor
What are we to do in a dissenting world?
Exporting democracy has resulted in boondoggle cowboy contractors
violating even elementary rules of engagement
Our goodwill has been spent on weapons.
Our armies are tired and conflicted.Our streets homeless ,dispirited,unemployed.
Rome had an Empire,too.It fell.Bread and circuses .Colosseums.
Perhaps we need an entertainment PAY PER VIEW model of diplomacy
wherein and whereby we sell cable rights to Town hall debates
