his second year returning from Iraq-
when he enlisted,they were throwing money,taking tattooed men
now they are weeding them down as the budget is tightening
When he went(into infantry)-he saw the waste of ammunition and money
training each young soldier for the field/now he is civilian(student-GI Bill..
he took a year to write the stories of his time there.
Fire pits to icecream bars stolen from Iraqi homes
interrogation and torture of the young-he saw and recorded
the shootings and the lootings often and random
when young men are unleashed,the dogs of war become hungry.
We live in an age of endless and universal wars-
yet we do not speak about the horrors.Background count like radiation.
Daily disasters distract us.He wants to remind us that war is waged via incompetence
Apathy helps.With no one to protest,human rights languish.He shares stories of past
Wars are us.We listen,but no one buys.We are pacifists/passive.Peace 4 us!
