words are bells
let them ring!

for the children of famous parents

"a misfit, a dreamer, a sinner, a castaway, a wayward child, a hobgoblin, a flibbertigibbet, a waif, a weird, a pariah, a prodigal, a picturesque ruin, a sensitive plant, an exquisite machine with insufficient steam, the oddest of God’s creatures....(describing Hartley Coleridge-son of STC)
for musicians it is easy-the Lennons and Dylans and Marleys of this world welcome musical progeny willingly-as independent creators
for writers such as the Coleridges and the Amises -the shadow of the father often eclipses the son
eldest sons invoke Greek mythos /pathos in discerning between sources of Light and Learning
Vices are shared as much as verses-"the sins of the father..."
Leonard Cohen's son plays guitar-and plays the songs of his father
Jacob Dylan, Sean and Julian Lennon-write their own material
Whether we be photocopies of familiars or original creators
relies less upon heritage-more environmental assistance
What do the children of Freud,Jung and Joseph Campbell have in common?
Only famous fathers,and the impossibility of surpassing them
