"rather have a boy with a guitar than a man with a gun"

so it came to pass (as time and SXSW passes pass
@Full English (poetry)Cafe Saturday night 17 March
on the last night of SXSW
we (me and a man guitarist)entertained
two British parents (she from Ipswich,he from Bristol)
with songs from Nick Lowe and poems from South Austin
Their son was in a band @STRANGE BREW
He and his band had driven from Boston to Austin
to play for free to a tiny crowd/but that is the prevailing madness
so we played for free for ourselves
making up songs and poems extemporized
lines borrowed,blue,stolen and new
until even he had to go,and a new Tom arrived
Swing shift with guitars and songs by the Beatles,Who and Rolling Stones
sing a long as one by one, refugees from SXSW came for breakfast @late night cafe
knowing this to be the last night of SXSW. Earlier ,was photographed
doing poetry with flutes and guitar outside the Capitol
for MILLION MUSICIANS MARCH 4 peace.Trust it all worked
(it worked for us).Every night a Festival.Every moon a song!
