every body works(unless you are dead)-to some extent
some get paid for their services.Many more volunteer
fulltime jobs are rare-those with benefits rarer.
the very notion of "work"has changed in our time-
startups for small businesses /creation of apps/
ideas seeking venture capital engage the best and brightest
Yet the growth in jobs is largely in the service industry-
pedicab drivers ,food van workers,baristas,store staff,cab drivers
Many of these positions are temporary,casual and low paid.
One would need several of these (and tips!)to afford current costs of living
Creation of jobs can be artificially induced via governments"make work"programs
as in the New Deal-creating work on roads,national forests,parks
Industry wishes to cut labor costs,and exports work to cheaper areas
These change over time,and are part of the new global economy
Birth rates add new bodies to a smaller pool of "jobs" to service them
Models for full employment have become conservative as tithing
The current conundrum of high and continuing unemployment
requires not austerity programing-more incentivisation,micro-loans,
angel investors,venture capital and a holistic co-operation of businesses with government
The results will either employ your children or bankrupt governments
or both..
