overnight,stocks rise and fall like heartbeats
overnight,governments fall like dominoes
overnight,post offices haemorrhage monies
overnight,you can get pizza delivered
all of this simultaneous/everything happening @once
parallel lions are meeting outside the bars
to drink in consequences/flawed solutions
re-present themselves as our only saviors
predictive prescience fails almanacs
seasons flipflop like drought floods
emergence may mean mutants ,dragons,vampires
entertainment as blood sports,celebrity children
suunglassy and staring,fake reality shows
news as infomercials,staged events as democracy
still you know the fool from the golden
as tinpot dictators strut their armbands
requiring our collusion and silence
we bed to differ/discuss/debate
demur,defer,decide for ourselves
how each daily day or coffee morning
shall siesta our Pieta reverent rituals
Butterfly breakfasts cereal sweetly
serenade our silences into songs
Doors and minds and windows open
Streets fill with flowers,legal as weeds
and we can say "we"again-sans iphone,ipad,itouch,i
Community gathers each to each
and eye shall meet you in these kissing streets
