let them ring!

fORGIVENESS

say it is you hate speech was directed to
and you are puzzled as to the why
or abuse-physical,sexual,emotional
exploitation of any or many kinds-
your only question-how to respond?
anger rises tidal waves-pride
you do not deserve this! Rise
to define the difference between action and re-
You may stop(consider your options
There are many.-to confront directly,
report to authority,seek third parties
expose the violation so it does not spread
meditate to understand other ways of moving through this
Avoidance only lasts so long-every song is heard
Words are here to use-form them into a petitioning
poem or song or story or blog
The point is to remove the thorn from your heart
To process hurt, pain, anger so it does not cause you harm
To dance with the moment until the next one comes along
and you can then choose to forgive and move on
Processes take lifetimes,some instantaneous
This is different for every one of us
To feel whole again,to assimilate and move on
requires attention to all the tools you have on hand
For it is in YOUR power to forgive. You are no victim
And once you forgive yourself for reacting-
you have moved on/via poem,story,art,song...
FOR THAT PART IN EVERY ONE OF US /ALONE
