may we all be heard
words are bells
let them ring!

HOW TO STEAL THE MOON

She only comes out at night-so meet nightly
Devise lines that will entice the moon out
String kite lines like electricity keys
to attract her luminosities-use poesie..
She is easily seduced by its monkey grip
Smiles -strew them like petals upon night waters
Ripples of laughter attract her-use light verse
You will notice waves -they are her tidal heart
She is in connection with stars-they blink
and pulse like sky disco systems
Some nights, she will be clouded with doubt
She will not come out.Arguments and debates
will not entice her-yet poets can still petition
She remembers that white one who came and stood and left
a flag stuck in her skin to show possession
She traps satellites and space junk democratically
She illuminates when we least expect(
though Almanacs predict her presence
and ,when found missing, blame some romantic fool
who sang her heart enough she left the skies
and entered in the eyes and laughter of lovers
This is where you will find her.Search skies vacancies
She lives in every line of loving lilting laughter
that ripples out from waves after we have turned away..
