to praise the weather that Russia would want
and Yorkshire would cry for
this gift of breath and time to change
before storms intemperate anger
emotional mood swings
vote for tea parties over coffee culture
if my smile stops momentarily
while i puzzle this universe
over which we have less control
and pour into thin lines homeless soup
know there is light and goodness
kindness and goodwill-evident
through the mists of confusion and turmoil
if this hand extended is empty
it is only to hold you close and closer-
hugs and cuddles cure distress more
than pills and self medicated potions
worry is one cloud in a blue sky
fear is a coat you can take off in this heat
emotions move,as we do,and must(like sharks
we cruise in search of the marvelous
if i ever forget to be awake, shake me
with your smile ,and tell me again
just how lucky we are
