Master Gardeners designed the seeds /planted here
that rise as saplings,become family trees,and seed
more striplings who also rise in time/to be cut done
to make better homes and gardens.We all go
through cycles,and the trick is to release our leaves in season-
to compost and to mulch so that goodness is passed on to others.
Those libraries of leaves you carry as your dreams
need to find the eyes and ears of others
All that you have as roots will join this earth-
better to let go the weight of tomes
before they join the debris piled on your streets
Once you are gone,no one is left to sing your song
all we can do is love,bless,then release
What are remembered gardens are ghost trees-
insubstantial,claiming only space and time enough
to let go and release,so we can see a new library shelf
full of new and better seeds-for better homes and gardens
