may we all be heard
words are bells
let them ring!

dark,cold,chill,thin

little lights strung up like outlaws
to ward off deep dark night cool chill winds
scour souls and spirits heart fires
season of dark departures,absences
chattering goosepimpling,shiver we
in company homeless,dispossessed
occupying space and time enough
to beam our tiny candle eyes
among the broken and the weak
Hold lanterns high and watch the bleak
thin light flicker flames ,shiver then release
We burn like wood to ash and memory
forgets our names.Stone is cold
We are red blood hearts beating flames.
