GREEK DEMOCRACY

Fires on the streets of Athens.Anarchy in the EU
People know they are being screwed.To finance a "bail-out"
wages and jobs are cut,poverty imposed -but not universally
Legislators still get paid(with or without balancing budgets
like golden parachutes for CEOs even when their companies belly up-
but the core clash of values is this-Greece was where our idea of "democracy"began
and now economics is mutating all populist politics.Do people count?
or pogroms/programs of "austerity"imposed by exterior unelected foreign governments?
Greek people are aware that unless they retain wage rights fought for for centuries
they will never again see benefits of those most at risk in this"globalized"economy.
Do people matter?or is this fiscal balancing act a show of obedience
to and for the taxpayers of Germany?People know this.They OCCUPY streets.
The will of the people is for autonomy,democracy,fairness,freedom
What they will get is debt,servitude,austerity and vasselhood.
Who gives a drachma?
