perhaps you were told to let your wild dog words loose
put your pit bull attack dogs unleashed on the world
that because you feel attacked/you have a right to inflict damage

i talk not of boutique handbag fashion miniature dogs
which only reinforce the foibles and fashions of their owners
nor service animals,nor guide dogs-not even therapy dogs
i speak of those species of dog words that bite and tear and snarl

for if you fear you are attacked,you will attack-and harm
rectification harder than prevention.Leash them now-these dogs of war
There are dogs enough neglected ,starved ,looking for love
on streets where animal control is a tentative and provisional fact

Rabies and wolves and escaped concepts wish to roam free
but we need health as well,so we put down those diseased and infected
We prefer healthy happy yelping friendly puppy love
or sheepdog skills or companion animals(not snarl and bite and snap!

There are those who say you have a right to bite back.
That this is self defense and you have righteous wrath
Danger is when the words start causing pain
there is no way to put them back.
