like waiting for a bus or a check that never comes
then a frantic egg scramble for the parachutes
when the whole world seems to explode in flames
time changes from childhood(slow and long
into the counted seconds of a heart operation
time spent watching popcorn movies
time gone living one's own script
my grandfather clock became my father's wristwatch
(i never carry time/except as phone minutes
the young consult their oracles moment to moment
they have appointments to keep.Death is the unlisted passenger
One day he takes the whole bus for a ride
Counted heartbeats.Calendars of stone.Gray bone yards of times passed
Today's time is brought to you courtesy of friends and family
who extend your perimeters so you are not alone.By the time you learn
the WHY of how and who you are,you will be flash fast sparked out of existence
to join those packs of ghosts and shadows on these streets
shades and shapes of as yet unformed times-beyond all past categories
