may we all be heard
words are bells
let them ring!

if truth be told

i have not bought a new record for a decade
nor have i ever downloaded any music
i do not own an ipod
nor do i understand MP3 (nor MP4!
Autotunes find me tone deaf
i stopped at Madonna(pre Britney,Lady Ga-Ga
Beatles reissues remind me of elevators
Rolling Stones tours ghosts and ghouls
I am glad that Neil young and Bob Dylan still tour
and have been tempted to see
remnants of THE WHO/LED ZEPPELIN
but it evokes too many bright memories
of missing members(Brian Jones/Keith Moon)
those cheeky youthful luminaries
who left the stage before Fat Elvis Syndrome
Fine by me if John Lydon moves on past Johnny Rotten
and better that Bob Dylan has that satellite radio show
It is this  modern world we live in-survivors of the 60s sing
in retro musicals based upon their childhoods
Hair is no longer the musical issue-age is
and who dare sing the truth to failing eyes and tinnitus?
