but there is still AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
there may be killing of civilians
but there is still TRUTHOUT.ORG
there may be illegal and continuing wars
but there are conscientious objectors
(and UNDER THE HOOD Cafe to assist)
Tibet may be occupied illegally
yet the Dalai Lama beams peace to all
Most movies are calculated marketing of distractions
but Michael Moore makes movies too
and independent documentaries and journalists like John Pilger
Bookstores are closing-but MONKEY WRENCH,
BRAVE NEW BOOK and BOOK WOMAN survive
(and COLLECTED WORKS in Melbourne,too)
Climate change is real-but people are recycling
and they are changing too-so what are we to do?
Recite the horrors of the year flickering to conclusion
or collude with those evolving souls who choose
to support the good,peaceful,harmonic and true
