Barton Springs still needs defending-
from "development",deforesting,detritus
Trees in Austin still need advocates-
they are ageing like us as our(hair) tree canopy shrinks
Neighborhoods still need community supporters
the essence of Austin is communication
and peace still needs to be waged publically
by Women in Black and Women in Pink
and every man,woman and child individually
So many causes call for your voices
still and always.One is not enough
Yet,when one starts to sing,and speak
one is reminded that other voices called for
Springs and forests,peace in community
She also published,performed -a one woman evolution
unfolding the blanket of our common future
that we might all live together-with trees,Springs,
poetry,music,activism,peace-remember these
whenever you dream of Susan Bright,poet,citizen
