organized the first LIVE AID-i watched the entire broadcast
It was based upon the good intentions of the CONCERT FOR BANGLA DESH
with 60's luminaries collaborating for a worthy cause.Update to BAND AID
with 80s stars imitating 60s stars recycling ancient hits for a good cause
and elephant graveyards start to look like dinosaurs dancing in the streets
Mick Jagger failed in his solo career,and his Glimmer Twin likewise
Only the residual Rolling Stones bones could flesh out live shows
that folk would actually pay for.(i saw him solo /live-he was short in more ways than one)
Good intentions are never matched by honest accountants
and benefit concerts resurrect careers of rotted rock gods
more than feed the hungry,or house the homeless.
None the less,celebrity stars will still stage "Benefits"
as self -promotion,and it becomes mock legendary as mini-Woodstocks.
You can plot your age by what generation of rock you still follow
