these chickens were caged all their lives
like school children,like workers
like cattle prodded,like vegetables (packed
like we in boxes-homes,offices
like Pete Seeger songs in cardboard packaging
all things come in plastic /wrapping /packaging
cages for prisoners/solitary confinement
what we do to animals in a zoo
we do to those we call criminal-
refugees,demonstrators,students
(and do not even mention "terrorists")
this is the key to unlock caged birds=
no more cages!
