last night,i went to OCCUPY AUSTIN
it was to meet with OCCUPY SXSW
to ask if we could collaborate and co-operate
with the MILLION MUSICIANS MARCH FOR PEACE
Saturday March 17,2012 at noon will see poets ,musicians and speakers
addressing those who publically wish peace
before dancing through the SXSW streets
to City Hall where more musicians will sing
ringing in peace in the area and for that time
Iraq may be over but Afghanistan rages
Explosions are failed conversations
Melodies and harmonies petition peaceful consciousness
So we asked,and OCCUPY agreed
to join together March 17.This is vital/as the steps of City Hall
are largely filled with homeless(some came to the meeting/some slept)
Marches and demonstrations issue forth daily from this spot
Involvement is high and hopes rise like kites.Each moment of peace
is stolen from war machines.We cannot afford more wars.
