so you might see and sing
what seems important to those beings
who visit Austin (or who stay to live
You see,as witnesses,we are participants-
Tourists,poets,temporary citizens
and we daub computer screens with virtual ink stories
of the passing of our days and nights
Others have before us/more will afterwards
while we are here(wherever we are
we use our senses to understand
what it is we are saying to each other
This is the WHY.You have the HOW
