Disappointments pile up like appointments with dentists
Doctors remind us we are mortal
Friends remind us we are temporary
Enemies remind us we have significance
Every diamond moment a meditation
We pay in attention-spans are broken
that is why we forget our future lives
and made do with past mistakes
Repeat until the pattern is apparent
Repeat even when the cycle seems complete
Repeat even when the lesson learned
would demand you change(logically!
We are not rational creatures-
emotions heave and sway and toss
We are all passengers on a wild bus
and the sign on the bus says...LOST!
