if you work with and for the good of all,expect vilification
General depression post-Obama hope hangovers
Anger @peaceniks.Cynicism /diminished expectations
Yet still the green grass anarchy rises individually
whether to be lawnmowed down(shot on the streets of Teheran
Media shockwaved by LIVE telecast of Israeli murders
or that oil gushing as proof positive corporate negligence
The core issue is -what constitutes virtue in our time?
Is it "family values"-sustained via censorship and curfews?
Is it religion-when each version competes for congregations?
Is it politics-when idealism gets diluted through ambition?
Is it culture-commercialized marketplace placebos?
How can virtue live among criminals?
To be a victim simply adds to the piles of civilian casualties
To be in a group requires compromise
To live beyond beliefs/ideologies gives illusion freedom
Then,when the clash sets in-this"tyranny of the majority"
Paid lobbyists,influence peddlers,corrupted corruptors
How can one thread this labyrinth in contemporary darknesses?
(everybody carries a trail of tears/every body has sorrows)
