may we all be heard
words are bells
let them ring!

ROBIN o SPROUTS!

"Angst and trauma!"-your ex-boyfriend says you corner the market
When you sing, they cry.The Irish in you smiles-
colleen o Colorado(you belong to everyone and no one/
everywhere and nowhere)-before you commit to open mikes
you just have to clear up one thing..It remains like an iceberg,submerged..
In conversations,we allude to it but do not speak
You smile and share adventures on public transport
In Austin,Sunday is a religious experience-
(every one praying for a bus to come!)
You refuse to pay more than $2 a gallon for gas
commit to public transport even when those who work in it do not
and walk as exercise(compulsory free will!
While waiting alone for a bus,you sing
When others crowd, you write. To find solitary as freedom.
You watch the customers with their coupons
You smile at every one with Irish freedom
The more is sold, the more secure your position in Austin
It is like that-wind blows in folk from all over
What stays is persistence and a mystic sense of purpose
You will not yet commit. You are on the lip of Austin
When you start to sing, tears will follow
