Carl Sagan sent radio signals to the Uni-verse
to contact sentient life outside of our tiny globe
but aliens do not deal in radio waves
and our empathy/telempathy is not well developed
So we rely upon music-to soothe the savage beasts
and to create and recreate fresh connections
when words alone become polemic or petition
Here comes Harmonies with a smile on-
she plays the drum of heart beating pulse like
attuned to guitar strings and songbird
whose wings of willing words levitate every one
Together is an orchestra of oceans-
each wave lifts more from depth to surfaces
and makes a better hole within the flute of life
where wind might seek more notes to add to credit
and we might weave a carpet of community
in every Sunday afternoon of peace.To us,
Nick Travis is with us-his smile,his energies/
that which makes ,anneals and heals is endless ever-
it pours from our ocean souls like deeper waters
flows in air currents to lilt us higher
and dusts off stale smiles to make them more and brighter
Attunement is a session where all are heard
It takes more than song,poem,word
Gathering is only ever the beginning-for this path
comes from and ends up within every willing,beating loving heart
Herein the leap of improvising
when every tiny bird voice decides to sing
and time becomes a rhythm and a signature
when each of us unite-to become more
