may we all be heard
words are bells
let them ring!

LIBRARY OF SILENCES

where we live is where our spirit attunes
(may as well land on the moon-
"i am sorry sir,but you have to leave-
no green cheese,no oxygen,no libraries..
"But what of these Libraries of Silences?
no dogbark,no train screech,no traffic club
birds call within the envelope of trees
Creak of treetrunks in the breeze
swooosh (not of Nike-more of leaves
buzz of bees and flip of flies
Heat and warmed silences...
Even here, sounds of carbon footprint booted skies
planes overhead,vapor trail lies
by the sea,oil globules ,coated sealife
in the desert,SUVs/4 wheel drives
There is no space we have not violated
Silence has been banished from our noisy planet
When you next encounter her
do ask her where she is hiding
I know what she will say-
"WITHIN"
