may we all be heard
words are bells
let them ring!

ROLLERGIRLS & POLE DANCERS

Both insist they are professionals-
they stress the athletic nature of their work
Rollergirls have crews with individual (ferocious)pseudonyms-
pole dancers have international championships
Both are not confined to women-
just as tango began in brothels
pole dancing began in strip clubs
Every practice evolves
just as belly dancing was once in harems
the sexual play at work is a constant subtext
Women claim empowerment via movement unrestricted
Expansion of freedom to move and improve adds to their power
and income comes with professionalism
Poetry of motion,allurement,aesthetics
Rollergirls sport costumes and sports injuries
Pole dancers use every muscle of their bodies
to allure visually their judges and audiences
Evolution of both artforms leads to expansion
ask the artisans of their personal enlightenments
To be in control of one's bodily expressions
allows change in the form of a dance
Sacredness is secular when you move
all is connected when you see
every body as a Temple, playing freely...
